In today’s episode, we’re diving into a powerful topic: “Why Worry Will Always Fail You.”
I want to remind you that despite all the worrying we do, very few major events this year will be worth the anxiety. Look back—everything you worried about in the past eventually got resolved. The same will happen with today’s worries. It’s time to stop wasting brainpower on imaginary threats and instead channel that energy into manifesting your true desires as an artist.
One of the biggest obstacles creatives face is spending 90% of their time worrying about things that will never come to pass. I’ve been there myself—completely broke and feeling hopeless, allowing fear to dominate my thoughts. But I learned that these struggles were lessons meant to help me grow and succeed.
I overcame my challenges by dedicating myself to volunteer work with my photography. For a year and a half, I taught young artists how to collaborate and succeed, regardless of their level of experience or knowledge. I never shared my personal struggles or achievements with them—I just focused on helping them grow.
I moved to an area that didn’t support artists well and even less in terms of collaboration. Driven by my knowledge and connections in the art world, I made it my mission to return to my roots and help break the limiting beliefs that many artists have about success. I wanted to show that despite the challenges, you can achieve your dreams, just as I did.
Growing up in a small town of 10,000 people, with no internet or smartphones, I never imagined the world I’d see. My art, born from that small town, took me to places like Los Angeles, Manhattan, and around the globe. The dreams I had in that small town were real, and you can achieve yours too.
To take your art to epic levels, you must be whole and truly believe in what you’re doing. Don’t let opinions deter you unless they genuinely help you elevate your craft. It takes immense faith—real, unwavering trust and love in yourself and your art.
Create your dreams. They are real and achievable. Believe in your vision, stay true to your path, and keep moving forward. Your journey is uniquely yours, and you have the power to make it extraordinary.
By embracing your authentic self and staying true to your creativity, you’ll naturally connect with those who resonate with your work. It’s not your job to dictate who understands your art; your true audience is already out there, waiting for you.
Focus on bringing your inner visions to life and sharing them with the people who need to hear, see, or read them. While you’re sharing your work, be open to feedback from your audience—especially the honest ones. These are the individuals who will become your collaborators and partners in growth.
Through genuine, constructive critique, you can help each other complete projects and elevate your artistry. Remember, true collaboration thrives on love and mutual respect, not on weakness or superficiality.
Keep creating and connecting. Your art has the power to reach those who need it most, and together, you’ll continue to grow and inspire.
I surround myself with artists who offer honest, critical feedback, not those who merely blow fairy dust and tell me everything is amazing. If you’re serious about growing as an artist, seek out those who will give you real critiques, even if it means tearing your work apart. Embrace this kind of feedback, and let it challenge you to either forge your own path or refine your skills continuously.
When you can handle criticism without letting it derail you, you’ll find that you grow stronger and more resilient as a creative. There are two paths that can emerge from this process: You either continue to develop your unique style and vision, always keeping a critical eye to ensure you remain strong, or you transform your critics into a dedicated audience who appreciates the growth you’ve achieved through honest, constructive friction.
Remember, pursuing your dreams is challenging, and it comes with a price. But if I can do it, so can you. Prove the doubters wrong and stay true to your vision. The real community—those who believed in you despite the odds—will eventually see the value of your perseverance and dedication.
A new world is emerging, and we have a choice: we can either contribute to building this new reality or continue clinging to the outdated ways of the past. We have the power to create something beautiful and meaningful, or we can keep accepting what no longer works.
I faced this challenge myself, and I want to share it with you. Here’s a simple but profound exercise: For one month, set aside all overthinking. Trust your instincts and follow them without hesitation. At the end of the month, reflect on whether you’re better off without the constant mental chatter or if it has made things worse. Use this insight to guide your future actions.
Remember, as Father Bronques wisely says, “An artist has to risk being offensive to some people on their mission to free their people.” Embrace the challenge and take bold steps toward your creative vision.
Keep pushing forward, and create something amazing today.
