In 2020, Los Angeles faced an unprecedented stillness as the city was put on hold during the COVID-19 lockdown. As a street photographer, I seized this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to capture the city’s iconic locations in their rare state of emptiness. The images reveal a stark contrast to the usual hustle and bustle, presenting a surreal view of familiar landmarks void of their usual vibrancy. The billboards, bus stop ads, and bustling streets were frozen in time, highlighting the city’s temporary transformation from a dynamic hub of creativity to a quiet, almost haunting expanse. This collection serves as a poignant reminder of how quickly life can change and the unique beauty found in moments of stillness.
